Online Env.
Jul 29th, 2007 by jawilson
Since I started the subject LTS 502 Teaching and Learning Methods & Media, on 24 July I have made the following forays into the Web 2.0 environment:
- Started this blog, a blog for my work colleagues and a private blog.
- Created a page on my Library’s wiki so that the TAFE Liaison Librarians can collaborate in a wiki environment.
- Posted a comment on flickr.
- Created a profile in FaceBook.
I already have my personal email account, work email account and student email account. I keep them separate as I find it easier not to “bleed the boundaries” of aspects of my life.
While I may be well connected now, keeping up with it takes time.

Hey Jane. Great site: well done. I love your pages. I have a wee problem with all of us keeping up with all the email etc (as you’ve mentioned). How do you do it?!$&^@(*
Great stuff! Best, Julie K.

You are a great role model.
When I raised my reservations about blogs in a recent tutorial, Gavin said I should view it as an exercise in exploring the potential of the technology and pushing the boundaries to see what it was capable of doing.
You seem to be in the midst of doing this.
Congratulations – your site is easy to navigate and a nice mixture of content and a natural presentation of the “you” you wish to share with this audience.
Perhaps I should shed my reservations and try plunging into the pool – rather than wriggling my toes uncomfortably in the astringently cold waters of blogging.

Hi Judy
I find this Web 2.0 stuff daunting but you have to just dive in and persist.
I look forward to commenting on your blog when it is up and running.
Regards
Jane
